On March 23, LFS hosts their second webinar in English on the Corona related crisis / risk management and business continuity for financial institutions coping with the global COVID-19 outbreak. The participation was more than a success with 28 people attending on the call from MFIs mainly in the Middle Eastern and North African regions.
Our 2 hour webinar was performed by one of our in-house risk management experts, presenting an overview introduction to crisis management, business continuity and communication, with examples from other institutions previous similar outbreaks or crisis (civil war, Ebola outbreak, cholera etc.). Following the presentation, a “Question and Answer” session was held, both audio-based and chat based where various managers from LFS were on the call responding with advice.
Some positive feedback kindly received from attendees included:
“Thank you very much for this informative session”
“Am quite grateful for the opportunity to listen to the Webinar. It was quite thought provoking”
“Thank you to LFS for organizing such an interesting and relevant webinar”
An opportunity to exchange further information, experience and collaborate is given to the participants by LFS giving each individual access to a closed group where sample documents of Business Continuity Plans, Communication Plans, etc are provided and further discussions can take place.
Our webinars will continue to be conducted in English, Spanish and Russian by LFS Regional Managers for Latin America, MENA, Africa and Asia and supported by our Risk Management Experts.
Participation is free of charge. In order to receive an invitation and grant participants access, please share the contact details (name, email, position and institution) with our technical team (Raphaelle.firstname.lastname@example.org) and state which of the above listed languages are preferable.
