LFS Advisory GmbH is a consulting firm based in Berlin. We specialize in impact finance project in developing countries and emerging markets. We deliver value to small or medium-sized enterprises and their owner families and employees, and smallholder farmers and other regular citizens through financial services, digital finance technologies, green finance and other business solutions. We help public and private impact investors in selecting/vetting target companies and taking them to success. With own and managed funds we have founded and managed 12 commercial businesses in the financial inclusion space over the last 15 years to success. Our clients include some of the leading international development finance institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – a member of the World Bank Group -, the European Investment Bank (EIB) or the German Development Bank (KfW), as well as private foundations, banks and impact investors.

 

We are looking for you as Working Student IT to join our team in Berlin (on-site). As a working student you may work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the semester break.

The job profilecontains the following key tasks:

 

  • administration of our existing, externally hosted Microsoft 365 environment (user management, Outlook, Sharepoint, MS Teams, …);
  • maintenance of our IT infrastructure (cable-based and wireless network, telephone, printer, projector); and device management; maintaining an overview on our IT assets (laptops, printers, projectors, licenses, …) and initiate procurement when needed;
  • help desk for our team both in Berlin as well as for our consultants and teams abroad;
  • updating content of the LFS website;
  • collaboration with external IT services provider (Bulgaria) and network specialist (Berlin);
  • optional: Participation in our international projects (proposal creation, market analysis, short trips as junior experts to our project assignments worldwide).

The successful candidate:

  • is a student of computer science, business informatics, IT security, information and communication technology or similar;
  • has very good knowledge of Windows environment and working with Microsoft Office, in particular with MS 365;
  • works carefully, reliably, structured and independently and is also characterized by their  service orientation;
  • has experience in IT-Support  (a plus);
  • has a high level of proficiency in English, knowledge of German is a plus.
