Financial Sector Study

In 2001, LFS was commissioned by KfW to conduct a study on the financial sector of Vietnam. The study included the development of project options and a financial sector strategy for KfW. Also, the preliminary design of a credit line for SME loans, to be implemented through two state-owned commercial banks.

In 2003, LFS was commissioned to carry out a fact finding mission. The objective was to study the possibilities and the options for KfW co-financing the planned ADB loan for the SME Sector Development Programme. One of the proposal for KfW involvement was a credit line project with technical assistance component.
