Feasibility Study for Microfinance Intervention

In April 2010 LFS was commissioned by IFC to prepare a feasibility study for microfinance interventions in Papua New Guinea, Timor-Lest, the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu.

In the context of this assignment, a field mission to Papua New Guinea took place from September to October 2010. The objective of this mission was twofold: First, to assess the feasibility of a coffee growers supply chain finance project with a local Microfinance bank. Second, to assess the feasibility of a project to support the upgrading of a Savings and Loans Society combined with product development.
