Founding and Interim Management of the Facility “Investing for Employment” for the Special Initiative (SI) for Training and Job Creation

LFS is appointed as foundation consultant and interim manager of a newly established investment facility, « Investing for Employment GmbH » that has been created within the realm of the BMZ Special Initiative for Training and Job Creation and aims at improving investment conditions and contributing to skills and employment generation in a selected range of partner countries in North Africa, West Africa and East Africa (which are part of the Compact with Africa group) in collaboration with the public and private sector.   The scope of work of LFS includes a comprehensive set of consultancy and interim management services for the initial build-up of the Facility (see detailed list on the right-hand side) to support KfW prior to the transition of responsibilities to a long-term implementation consultant which is currently being procured on an EU-wide basis.  Aside from support in building up the Facility’s core range of policies, processes, workflows and tools, LFS is also supporting KfW in the preparation and realization of the pilot Calls for Proposals being carried out Ethiopia starting from the first quarter of 2020.   After the pilot call in Ethiopia, Morocco and Tunisia will be the following countries of operation.
